SnapPlant: Plant Identfication

A Botanist’s Knowledge at your Finger Tips.

As part of my Design 112: UI/UX Design course at UC Davis, I completed a design challenge to design an application that aims to solve and bring awareness to a real world issue. I chose to design an app that helps users learn more about the flora they find themselves surrounded by, in hopes of bringing awareness to deforestation and invasive plant species.

This project would end up being the final for the class, with three weeks to complete it. Within these 3 weeks, I conducted user research via surveys and usability testing to understand user needs and preferences. Then developing ideation sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs based on these insights.
