The music festival named "Sonidos del Alma Danzante", which translates to “Sounds of the Dancing Souls”, with a focus on Hispanic Cumbia music and culture based in East Los Angeles. This festival aims to provide an opportunity for emerging and established Cumbia artists to perform and gain exposure and to promote cultural exchange and community engagement. This will also provide design students with the opportunity to gain experience in event planning, designing and execution.

The overall message of the festival is to celebrate, promote, and highlight Hispanic Cumbia music and culture, while also providing an opportunity for a cross-cultural exchange with audiences.
